Track 14. Back on the Mainland now...

Back on the Mainland now
At first the landscape looks the same
As on the day before I ever came
But then the ground on which I stand
It ,moves beneath my feet like shifting sand

Back on the Mainland now
A stranger now in my own shoes
Oh show me all the things I have to lose
Take my hand and bid me rise
Spit on this clay, and lay it on my eyes

back on the Mainland now
In every crowded city place
I'm searching for one half-familiar face
I've miles to go before I rest
Oh please don't let me fail your test

Back on the Mainland now
I shade my eyes against the sun
But only see the ocean rolling on
The west wind blows, the clouds roll by
Blow through my heart, blow through my mind

Back on the Mainland now..
