Philately Philosophy & Felicity

Philately Philosophy & Felicity

Album Sleeves

Albums > Philately Philosophy & Felicity > Lyrics >1. Nothing Else

Lead me not into temptation
I can get there pretty well on my own
It’s when I’m satisfied, but a little sick inside
I call out to you for a ticket back home
Have you got a cancellation?
Some old saint defect on his final day?
Is there one last flight before the night
Even budget price, I’ve still no means to pay

Deliver me from evil
Better make that delivery fast
The quality of he air round here
Means my next breath it might well be my last
Don’t want no long drawn tear-filled exit
Just send some junior angel down
I’ll go back door, incognito, riding pillion
But remember, he’ll need a street map of this town

Oh, can you still see me?
Oh, can you reach this far down?

The air is thick with the gathering storm
There’s thunder across the bay
I’m straining my eyes on a single point of light
Somewhere far away
I know the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory are yours
But they’re far up, far off, out of reach
Me, I’m the only man left standing here
And I’m still out on the beach
